Colne Valley Saddle Club was founded in 1980 by a small group of local adult riders. Over the last four decades, the Club has expanded its membership and now runs events that cover most of the equestrian disciplines.

Many of the events are restricted to Club Members, such as summer Showing, Dressage and Show Jumping Points Shows and training sessions. Points can be gained at the members’ shows and the trophies are awarded at the AGM in October.

FAQ

PARENTAL SUPERVISON:

ALL children aged 15 or under MUST be accompanied by a responsible person aged 18 or over. If that person is not the next of kin, then contact details for the next of kin will be required when making an entry. This is for emergency purposes only and these details will be destroyed or returned at the end of the Show.

 

EQUIPMENT

Riding Hats must be up to current SEI Mark standards. Correctly fitted saddles and bridles should be in well maintained state. We are unable to provide any other equipment you may require, so please ensure you bring what you need each visit. 

PARKING

Parking at the Club Field is limited, however parking is available on the Reservoir Side Road and along the Reservoir Bank (access through the gate from the Reservoir Side Road, exit via Slades Road off Blackmoorfoot Road, Helme). Please park at the side of the road, leaving room for other vehicles to pass, and take all litter, droppings etc. home with you. DO NOT leave horses and ponies tied to trailers/horseboxes unattended.
